Fun and Exciting Weekend!

So this weekend we went to City of Rocks in Idaho to do some camping and rock climbing. (of course, we had to forget our camera so we couldn't document the events properly. But I promise, they did happen). We left home a bit late (2 hours later than planned) and finally made it up to where we thought we were supposed to go. We didn't really know what campsite we were supposed to be in, so when we got there we had to go on a "hunt" for the right campsite. We went up the road a ways and found a woman lying in the middle of the road. Apparently, she had crashed on her motorized scooter and had a head and neck injury. Any time that she tried to move, she would get super dizzy and nauseated. We were able to get her stabilized and able to get her somewhat comfortable, even though we wouldn't let her move. I'm pretty sure that she had a concussion and soon she started complaining that her fingers were going numb. Anyway, long story short, we got Life Flight to come and take her to the hospital. It was a very exciting way to start off the weekend.
Then, later that night, we met some very interesting people (2 from Australia, 1 from Canada and 1 from Wyoming). They had taken off work for a year and were planning on traveling the country and climbing. They had very interesting stories to tell and they were most grateful that we would share our food with them (they ate as if they hadn't eaten in days). It was pretty cool. Thankfully, no one from our group got hurt and everyone had a ton of fun. City of Rocks is in the middle of nowhere, but it is really cool and has some awesome climbs!! We highly recommend it.
