New Changes!

I have interviewed for a new job! Medicare is supposedly going to pass a new law that will take 42 billion dollars from the home health industry, so it will affect the way that our company gets reimbursed thus the way that the nurses can get paid. Without getting into the nitty gritty, I did the numbers, and with going part time and all the cuts I would only be making 1/10 of what I was making per paycheck. Now, I don't know about you, but we have not budgeted for that kind of cut. We were planning on cutting back when I went to part time, but not by that much! So, I am now hunting for a new job. My interview went well. It is back to floor nursing. Floating the floors of a hospital. It would be good experience, and best of all, it is only 24 hours/week right now with full benefits!! Benefits is something that I haven't had for years! Hopefully it will all work out! (I know that it will).
